Welcome to the Massage Habits Blog
A quick note on why this space exists, and what kind of writing you can expect to find here.
Most of what I do happens in the treatment room — quiet, hands-on, one body at a time. This blog is the long-form companion to that work.
Over more than a decade of practice, the same questions keep coming up from clients: why does the same area keep tightening up? Why does relief only last a few days? What's the difference between bodywork and energy work, and which one do I actually need? Posts here are an attempt to answer those questions plainly, without jargon, and without overpromising.
What you can expect
- Short, plain-language essays on chronic tension, posture, and pain.
- Notes from the treatment room — patterns I see often and what tends to help.
- Practical self-care suggestions you can try between sessions.
- Occasional deeper pieces on the philosophy behind the work.
“It's not about forcing muscles to relax. It's about helping the body realize it doesn't need to hold tension anymore.”
If a topic resonates — or if there's something you'd like me to write about — feel free to bring it up at your next session, or send a note through the contact page.
